Senegalese government gives Akon, final notice to begin construction of AKON CITY or lose 90% of the land they allocated to him.
The Senegalese government welcomed Akon’s big promises to bring jobs & businesses to an undeveloped part of Senegal. However, several years later, the project hasn’t left the promise stage.
He announced a $6 billion contract for the project in 2020. He said it will have its own Cryptocurrency, Akoin.
He laid the foundation stone for the project on 136 acres of Atlantic coastline in 2020.
The project has been pending since 2018.
