In the list posted yesterday on its newly-unveiled website, the party listed Governor Rotimi Akeredolu of Ondo State as vice chairman and Senator Ben Uwajumogu as secretary while other members of the committee were Senator Ken Nnamani, Governors Rochas Okorocha, Kashim Shettima, Aminu Bello Masari, Abiola Ajimobi, Ibrahim Gaidam, Nasir Ahmed el-Rufai, Simon Bako Lalong, Bindow Jibrilla, Yahaya Bello and Godwin Obaseki.

2. Former Military President, General Ibrahim Babangida has declared support for Social Democratic Party (SDP).

According to him, he would have joined the party if he was younger, adding that the vision he had for the country is the same vision that is shared by the leaders of the Party.

It was gathered that over 50 houses were raised at Aloko-Oguma in Bassa Local Government Area following a communal clash that engulfed the community following a dispute between the Bassa Kwomus and the Igalas over the harvest of a disputed cashew nuts..

5. The Ohanaeze Youth Council, OYC, has announced the shortlist of three names for possible replacement of the embattled President-General of the apex-Igbo socio-cultural organization.

Those in the list were Prince Richard Ozobu, Sir OAU Onyema and Prof Eche Ugwu, all from Enugu State.

6. No fewer than 17 of the parents of the abducted Chibok schoolgirls have reportedly died as a result of trauma associated with the abduction.
